Parts Express responds to media reports about robbery on the A1: no connection to Parts Express

Recently, various media outlets reported on an armed robbery involving a truck driver on the A1 near Muiden. The driver was forced off the road and robbed of his truck at gunpoint, after which the truck was found several hours later together with the driver between Baarn and Bunschoten. NOS

 

Parts Express emphasizes the following:

  • Parts Express has no involvement whatsoever in the incident on the A1 near Muiden.
  • The driver who was the victim of this robbery is not known to Parts Express and did not at any time drive on behalf of Parts Express.
  • No goods belonging to or intended for Parts Express were being transported in the truck involved in the robbery.
  • The truck in question had not been part of the Parts Express fleet for a considerable time; it was sold more than two years ago by the previous transport company in whose name the truck was registered. NOS
